Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Brakes bled and new wheels fitted. Will go with the Swedish ones for a while, but may change to Trophy's after a while as they are my favourites
And suspension needs to be levelled out

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Are you going to get it counter-weighted?

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Awesome! If the spheres are individualized, it is pretty straightforward to do on an MGF. If you keep the interconnection (and I personally would, as this is the clever bit of the suspension system), to counterweight is still possible, but requires some phaffing around with shims between the suspension knuckle and displacement cone.

Thanks Rob.
Rear brakes now properly aligned and handbrake working fine.
Oh, and an MOT pass today too

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Nice project coming to a finish, which is always a great thing that costed more and took longer to achieve.
Anyhow, you know what you've got and it is a stunning car !!
Love to see it in the flesh one day.

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Well, 2 years on and the Trophy is now settled in it's new home Just got to do a few miles now to help settle the rebuilt engine and the new suspension.
Would like to take this opportunity to give my sincere thanks to Andy at Prestige MG for taking on this project, he is an amazing mechanic and more, with a wonderful eye for detail and a need for things to be 'right'. He has made subtle modifications, has been so patient, completed an amazing job and I cannot thank him enough.
Also a huge thank you to Matt at MG Obsession who has sourced all the parts. He has been so helpful, managed to find stuff that is nla and it would have been very difficult without his enthusiasm for anything MG.
Finally, to Glen at S&R Motor Bodies for a stunning respray job, thank you.
So, looking forward to Silverstone next week
Btw, I went to put on my new MGF Register windscreen badge and realised how cheap and naff the latest ones are. What happened to the decent quality ones guys?

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Hi your Trophy looks stunning!!!
I was looking for an Anthracite Trophy recently as i had an MGF years ago that I sold. I ended up with an Anthracite Freestyle that I am building up at the moment with a few modifications along the way as well.
I look forward to seeing your trophy at MG LIve at the weekend hopefully

Well, the car is running great here in France. Here's a picture taken in La Roche-Bernard. I will try and get a better 'scenic photo on my travels
