Too tight to part with beer tokens for alloy version so made my own ;-)

I think they look better than the alloy ones Stu, more subtle :)

They look factory fitted to me from your photo Stu, not at all out of place :thumbsu:

Now they're a really good idea, which I think I will have to steal. If you've no objections, of course!

I presume they are leather and if so, how did you make the hole for the headrest stem? I also may have to borrow your idea...

Not an original idea I confess ;-) l simply cut up an old leather belt and used a hole punch to make holes for headrest.

They look great, I have done the same after been given the tip when I bought ELF.. the only change I would make, if doing it again, would be to make them longer so that both head rest stems go through the leather, this would stop them turning on the single stem. A great idea and looks like they grew there :)

Agreed, I made them to fit over both stems, work much better like that :D

I've just fitted a pair to my F. Hadn't got a spare belt and couldn't find one in a Charity shop but, I had a bit of luck, on Friday I was in a local tourist attraction where there is a chap who makes things out of leather. He made me a pair from some of his belt leather off-cuts. Mind you they did cost £10, but to make a pair myself would have meant a couple of belts at a minimum of £7.99 each. (I've gone for the double pole fitting.) They look really good and feel right, but I've yet to give them a decent try-out.

I've attached some photographs of my Seat Belt Tidies, which I'm very pleased with.
I had a word with the chap who made them for me, and he is willing to make sets to order for the same price, £10 per pair, with postage & packing at about £3. He has the measurements so you can just contact him direct. He said that he can match most colours.

I've had them fitted for three weeks now and have driven quite a bit including to MG Era at Brooklands last week-end. I'm really pleased with them, especially as I don't have to reach behind with my left hand to get the belt. I damaged that shoulder some years ago and it can be quite painful.

They also came-in for some favourable comments by quite a few people at Brooklands.

Indeed they are Stu, Thanks for initiating the thread which encouraged me to explore the idea.
It also got me thinking about other possibilities. This developed into a rear screen protector for the soft top. A length of 4cm pipe insulation, covered in the fabric from an old pair of my wife's leggings. Laid on the outside of window before you fold the hood stops the window developing a hard crease. Should help it last longer - hopefully!
