Lucas 5AS fob programming

Post by Fourbears » Wed Apr 26, 2017 7:33 pm

Bit of a long shot but is there anyone in/near Norfolk who can programme 5AS fobs? I want to get a spare as I only have one but can't really send my unit away to have it done. I also can't get to the South coast for Technozen to do it either. Anyone?

What ECU? Might be cheaper/easier to source a matched ecu/5as set with 2 fobs.

If you have an MG or an ex-MGRover dealer near you they should be able to do it for you.

Technozen offers a same day return service so you should have it back in your hand 3 days after posting.

I was hoping to find someone but doesn't look likely. Now do I just need the 5AS module and fobs or do I need the engine ECU as well?

The ECU is matched to the 5as so you'll need that too.

I can program them, but I'm near J12 of the M1...

As above: a pscan can pair a mismatched 5AS and MEMS combination without problem :)

Worth getting one of these widgets for diagnostic uses anyway, and it covers all the ECUs on the car (including EPAS!)

Quick_spider I am coming past, well close to, you in June. For some beer tokens would you be able to do it for me?

Yes - just let me know a date so I can check it doesn't clash with family commitments.
