Taipan air filter

Post by beefio » Fri Apr 28, 2017 10:32 pm

I've picked up a used Taipan air filter on ebay and was just wondering where is the best place to put the trumpet intake...passenger side vent or underneath the car?

Also how should I hold the trumpet in place particularly at the passenger side vent?

Thanks

Passenger vent, mine just stays put no need to hold it in place. I did make a bracket out of some punch banding for the filter itself though.

I agree: you could mount it in either location, but under the car is much dustier (you'll frequently need to clean the filter) and there is the risk of drawing water if you encounter deep standing water...
