Janspeed Monifold
Anyone have experience of this Janspeed Monifold?
Any performance gain to be had when adding to an existing performance back box?
What would be a reasonable price to pay for a used one?

Is it very noticeable and worth the upgrade?

Re: Janspeed Monifold
I brought the Janspeed manifold and will attempt to fit it myself and I have a few questions:-
- Will this manifold fit with my existing mk1 cat or will in need to replace with a mk2 cat?
- The manifold and flexi pipe are held together with a round clip which when tightened pulls the 2 sections together...anyone know where I can get one of these as it doesn't come with the one I've brought?
- The down pipe has a hole for what I think is the O2 sensor which isn't present my my earlier F, what's the best way to plug this?
Many thanks

Re: Janspeed Monifold
Well, since none of the guys round here who really know Fs have come up with the model-specific answers, I might as well give you my 2p worth: you want to google for exhaust clamps and look at the pictures to find the type you want, then you'll find out what it's called; and for the O2 sensor I think you want to google for an O2 sensor blanking plate/plug. Measure the hole to check you're getting the right size.

It's called a V band clamp
You will need to reroute the O2 sensor wiring down the back of the engine so you can move it to the new location.

Do you have a mk1 or mk2 cat connected to the manifold?Bigfootmgf wrote:Well my car 1.8mpi combined with exhaust & pipercross air filter now has around 130bhp & 134lbs ft or torque if that helps!

Can it be simply re-routed without the need to extend the wiring?flyingbanana wrote:It's called a V band clamp

Simple reroute, the loom plug is clipped into a bracket, just unclip it an move it towards the rear of the block.beefio wrote:Can it be simply re-routed without the need to extend the wiring?flyingbanana wrote:It's called a V band clamp

Re: Janspeed Monifold
I also got a new manifold gasket and a rubber hanger just in case. The cat bolts and gasket are new when I recently change the exhaust. Is there anything else that I might need?
