Sorry Gerry, never seen one like this before. Have you asked the previous owner?

A quick "Google" drew a blank too.

Re: Exhaust Query
Hi
I purchased the the car from a local dealer who had taken it in px so unable to ask much about the the car, although its history confirmed it had been serviced locally by an mg specialist, and I have also tried the internet and drawn a blank

Re: Exhaust Query
Try writing to the previous owner ~ include an SAE, and if they're an enthusiast (which they must have been to own an 85th) they should hopefully respond with details.

Just to say that I don't recognise this either? Have you any other pictures of this system?

Re: Exhaust Query
There appears to have been a company making bodykits etc for MGFs and TFs a few years back under the ATC - Racing Design Syndicate brand. Not a lot else to be found out about it online. Their website no longer seems to exist.

I guess that's it. Maybe Japanese F and TF enthusiasts might know more?

Re: Exhaust Query
Only took these quick photo's to try and find it on the net without success have not had not been able to get the car up on lifts as i'm still battling my hand injury 5 months on, but from what I can see its a stainless system and the car has far more torque and response than my 135 with the Z&F remap and pipercross pan filter and scorpion exhaust system.

Re: Exhaust Query
It may just be a custom exhaust, there's a place not far from here that custom build exhausts & there tail pipes have the company name on.

Re: Exhaust Query
Thanks for posting that - it brought such a wave of nostalgia! I remember looking at all these things back in 1999. Erikb has a nice round up of many of the aftermarket bodykit options that were then available (nearly 20 years ago now! GULP!)BodgeItAndScarper wrote:There appears to have been a company making bodykits etc for MGFs and TFs a few years back under the ATC - Racing Design Syndicate brand. Re: Exhaust Query
Only seems like yesterday when I collected it from the dealership at the end of January, 1996...
