So, when my Trophy is completed it will have zero miles on a totally rebuilt engine and will be truly mint. Value...? Who knows

As with all second hand and potentially classic cars, but at the moment, surely for MG F & TF prices to really take off there has to be far fewer of them on the roads. But I strongly believe the prices of good ones and special limited editions have now bottomed out and will start to climb quite soon.c13amb wrote:Unfortunately...it still comes down to what somebodies willing to pay...but it only takes one punter with more cash than sense!!
I haven't bought one yet, but have been watching their prices for the past couple or so years and will be putting my ownership of one to rights very soon.

Good luck with your search/purchase buzzy beans...i agree that special edition models will hold and increase in price over the coming years.
I have to admit if i was in the position to buy a nice Trophy 160 its the one I would have straightaway!
If you can be bothered to put a bit in to searching the adds you will get one privately eventually that will have all aforementioned mechanical work done.Theres still a lot of cars out there that are cherished by their owners then moved on after a while..it depends how quickly you want ownership.
This would be a cheaper initial purchase then you have the specialist on your doorstep to complete all servicing and work on it..thats what i would do but look forward to seeing what you do!! Good luck
