2017 SAIC DESIGN International Challenge winners!
The 2025-MGA is a remodel of the much loved MGA roadster, apparently showcasing the beauty of modern technology in car design whilst honouring the historical heritage at the heart of the MG brand.

Well, Col, for the time being it’s just a design concept, but I think it’s very important that (I think for the first time since the takeover in 2007) a roadster concept has been officially released. So there is still hope that the MG spirit has not died completely. :thumbsu:

I think SAIC will wait if the E-Motion becomes a success, and then develop a (fully electric) rag top sports car on that platform. Anyway, to me it’s a good sign that a roadster concept won the first prize in that challenge. Especially when I look at the crappy stuff in the other pictures.

I looked at that and with the exception of the grill area I honestly thought I was looking at a slightly re-modelled Beemer Z4 !

I like that! If SAIC were to start building MG sports cars again, I'd certainly take note :D
