2019 MGZS
Off the topic of F's I realise but had a test drive today in a new ZS automatic. Had a one litre turbo engine and was a very impressive car. Looking to replace my day to day car which is a Mazda CX-5. Have already put a deposit on a Kia E Niro electric with delivery scheduled in Q1 2020 with a range of c240 miles. However the ZS electric is coming out in September with a range of 170 miles with a possibly considerably lower price. Subject to a test drive and price confirmation may end up with two MG's?!

Re: 2019 MGZS
Have now put a deposit down to secure one of the first 1000 MGZS Electric's sold in the UK, which come at a special price and with a free home charging point.
Don't know whether I will end up with this or the Kia until the MG test drive, scheduled for next month when the dealer gets delivery of their demonstrator.

If you took the badges off it looks a bit like a Mazda.
Do they do a 2 seater convertible

Re: 2019 MGZS
Watched quite a positive review on the ZS EV. At £20k for an EV, that is very, very good value for the amount of car you're getting.
I am not overly keen on its styling though - but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't mind the look of that, looks a bit like a Jag, I wonder if it will have a sporty noise button, those doors might not open in some peoples garages.John SS wrote:Apparently there is a sports electric on the way, according to press reports!Androlyn wrote: Do they do a 2 seater convertible

Re: 2019 MGZS
I hope not! Synthesised noise isn't the way to go with EVs IMO. Getting the right injection of sensory feedback for an EV sports car is going to be the challenge for the manufacturers, but electric motors and the electrical system is not entirely silent, which makes me feel that this could be tuned and some frequencies enhanced for a more "authentic" noise.Androlyn wrote:I wonder if it will have a sporty noise button

Re: 2019 MGZS
I like the shape and the graphics on teh car, but not keen on that windscreen - presumably they weren't able to form the full curve of the screen and hence the divisions?

Re: 2019 MGZS
Cancelled my earlier order for for a Kia E Niro and confirmed my order for the MGZS EV. Had a test drive in it last week and thought it was brilliant. The performance in Sport mode was really impressive.talkingcars wrote:Let us know what you do in the end.
Have gone for the top Exclusive model which has loads of gear included.
Delivery due December 9th - excited, going to have two MG's!
