I have an MGF MK2 and I have kept a few bits over the years from other MK2's that I have had.
One of the bits is a Centre Console Fascia, the part that holds the clocks, radio and window switches etc. I have just bought my first MK1 but haven't got hold of it yet to play with, so my question is I know they look different and the gear stick surround is a different shape but can you fit a MK2 centre console fascia easily into a MK1?
I only ask as I don't like the one I am getting too much......
Thanks

Re: MGF MK1 and 2 Centre Console Fascias
Hi Andrew,
it’s a relatively easy job, just some minor trimming work to the dashboard mouldings and a Mk2 heater control fascia w/ knobs are required. Bear in mind that you have to retain the Mk1 window lift switches, as the internal wiring is different between Mk1 and Mk2.The rest of the switches are interchangeable.
As usual, Rob Bell has a detailed how-to on his page: http://mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/DIY/in ... /index.htm
