Rear Window zip

Put the window down a few weeks back and now trying to close it back up and I just can not get the zip to close! What am I doing wrong?? Please remember I am suffering sight loss so am having to work a lot by feel Any tips welcome

Hi,

Just a thought. It may help if you release the front catches on the roof to give you a bit more play (like you were going to put the hood down). The roof might be very tight in the cold weather.

Exactly as per AndyH, release the front catches to release the tension in the hood.
Home to black Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4, blue MGZR160, green MGF VVC and grey MGF 1.8i, and red MG Maestro T16.

Might just be a bit stiff Ted after a period of being unused? So long as the two sides of the zip are intermeshing, it should do up. Like Andy, I zip up with the hood only partly raised - but I guess you do that anyway?

Try lubricating it with some natural beeswax or candle wax.
