hi all, had to re-register annoyingly! would someone be able to tell me where this part goes! I am being a numpty and cant remember, even thought I removed it last week! (I had a blowing exhaust manifold gasket on one cylinder)

Can't remember how it fits but pretty sure it's the alternator heat shield.

Think you're right Steve, not one on mine but I can remember seeing a similar query a few years ago

Have a look at Rimmers site, TF exhaust systems and see if the exploded diagrams give a clue.

nope.. no luck! have looked at many pics of k series engines for sale, all pics I have, rimmers.. nada! irritating lol

I suppose you've tried looking for "witness marks" of rust, bolt holes. It might not be alternator protection, but some coolant hose. Worth having a nose around.

Is this the heat shield? Looks slightly different to your photo.

many thanks all. have been away but no luck, not going to lose any sleep over it will have another look later before I bolt the cover back down.. didn't see any markings/ Looks different to yours MrNatural, similar but different.
