Motorway car park

Post by mgtfnut » Wed Feb 09, 2022 5:17 pm

MG - Wilts 030405 001.jpg
2005, as you can see, parked at Magor services on the M4 getting assembled ready to go to Stonehenge.

Notice anything funny  - I'm sorting out some old pics and found this. We had to re-locate to get this shot before moving off on our trip over the bridge.

 Yes, I think it might have been just before MG-R went pear shaped. I couldn't resist taking the shot, thinking ahead - what might be
M4 just behind the hedge.

I got the car in late 2004. It was from Mike Satur, still on his number plates, which had been in an accident from new in Blackpool. Mike tells me I wouldn't like the pictures of the car at the time, it needed a new front end from the bulkhead forward. It was obviously jigged and a few bits of seam welding are just visible in places. Painted fully inside and out, Mike says it was better than new when they had finished with it.
Some friends couldn't believe I'd bought a re-built crashed car, but still going strong as well as ever.

I love the way they are heading towards the retirement home, not breaking out Granny from the home
