New Wedgewood Project

Post by cbjroms » Sun Mar 13, 2022 5:09 pm

Just purchased a Wedgewood SE VVC because it would be a shame to see it scrapped and I love a project.

Only significant issue with the car is rot in the offside/rear sill area and the repair sections are already on order from Mike Satur. Other than that, the paintwork is in really good condition although there is some surface rust around the lower wheel arches (ie by the other 3 corners of the sills) but a local car welding expert reckons it is all very easy to make good.

Stripped the interior ready for welding and found more surface rust at the rear of the cockpit - nothing serious although the floor 'plugs' all see to have rotted. Offside, front wing needs a little attention as well. Some pictures below:

If anyone has any Wedgewood panels in their pile of spares then please give me a shout.

Nice going. Always good to see them being saved rather than scrapped

Definitely too good to be scrapped. I've saved substantially worse looking cars than that!
