Well it was tight on the emissions again, but the tester was an ex-Rover/MG mechanic and knew about these cars with their emissions.
Everything else went straight through, and he said the car was in good shape which is always nice to hear.
Onto better weather now.

Well done, ditto with mine last week bit of a struggle with emissions everything else fine a mile or so after the test the EML came on!!!!

The K series engine was designed as a lean burn engine before the introduction of cats - so emissions should not be a problem. Still on original cat (2002), so possibly sensors need changing/ exhaust leaks?

Yup likewise - just got the call and have two advisories on rear pads and rear wheel bearing. Checked the previous MOT and noticed that emissions were borderline so chucked in a full bottle of Redex Emissions before taking it for a decent run yesterday. Obviously wasn't an issue so whether it did the job or not who knows...
