..invoice...£82.80
hydrogas fluid, £12 plus vat
labour £60 plus vat
and that the price the woman had quoted me on the phone wasnt right and that i was wrong.
[Difficult to argue with if you do not know the procedure]
I would be interested in knowing the other side. as I have had supplies from Mike.

A drive will settle the suspension, so normal behavour.

................ it had to be pumped up to 500 psi
Info on units:
http://www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?ado14hydragasf.htm
* Firm car: 9.5 bar Nitrogen and a line pressure of around
18bar on the fluid later.
* Soft car: 13.5 bar Nitrogen and fluid to the recommended setting of at least
20 bar or higher.
18 bar is about 260 psi
20 bar is 290 psi
500 psi seems very high?? needs double checking !!
Interesting reading:

"The 'ultimate' modification...............
.................we are experimenting with filling the air chamber for the front displacers with up to 50% liquid and running the pressure at
70 psi - the equivalent of a shortened & stiffer spring. "

What is the pressure for the F please I can not find it
We think should be less as the F is a lighter car.

£25 is fair for a simple Pressure Top Up. A 4 wheel traccking is essential when height is altered for which I payed £40 for both to a local specialist. One hour Labour.
If problems were found, then presumably the additional work to find the cause was agreed and needed to be payed for. I have no trouble in asking for a price to include Parts, Labour and VAT when additional work is recommended.

Thank You. we will look deeper in to this.
Edit:
All BLMC cars were 150 - 360 psi. we can not find higher.
We would certainly check the 500 psi situation?.
Where did you get the 400psi figure??

It is always hard when you talk labour rates, example my vauxhall road car had a service needed a bulb change (head light)
17.5 bulb £30 labour to fit. On top of the 225 service.
Most garages have a flat hourly rate for works so 60 p/a does not sound out of the way, when you compare to a main dealer
prices its not bad. It is always best to confirm a price before any works undertaken, I have only heard good things about Mike, I would of
thought the place to discuss it is with him not on a forum.
Your probably better of buying a pump but since dunlop stopped making hydrogas unit the sales off them dropped and
pumps have become more expensive.
Thats the only reason the TF had springs is that dunlop had stopped making the suspension units, Its time to start buying up units
as the will never be made again and they do not last for ever.
