Pictures from the Tour of Longbridge
Some of them aren't brilliant as my camera needs a lot of light and it was quite dark where these prototypes were stored.
We were shown these prototypes when Rover were looking to build a new 2 seat sports car back in the late 80's and early 90's. Looking at what they may have looked like I think the F was an improvement.

Re: Pictures from the Tour of Longbridge
What may have been the salvation of MGR
Having seen today the stillborn R35 in the plastic/clay it's tragic that it never got to market, could have saved the company.
Although the reaction to this wasn't as possessive, would have still made an impact on conceptions of Rover's if it had found it's way to the market.

Hi Chris, nice to have put a face to the name, and yes I agree with your comments! BUT we must ALL look forward, and trust just like the great people we saw on the assembly lines,

Re: Pictures from the Tour of Longbridge
Chris, I think you'll find those prototypre are the PR2, PR3 and the F16.
Here are a few of mine :
The MG Coupé mock up in the visitors centre.
What colour is this Chinese built TF ? It looks like Mirage ? It was also the car used to decide where to place the TF badge on the rear (yes, it's moved again on the newTF135).
This is the MG R30 based upon the BMW 1 series (sorry about the bad pictures, the light was terrible behind the stage).
And again ;
Last time :
All wrapped up ready to go !
New wiper linkage and a new motor too !
Roewe 550
Roewe interior
And the front.
You'll like this one, it's the first engineering project TF160 derivative !!
What did Henry Ford say, any colour you like as long as it's black, who wants a black LE500 ?

The photos are great.
Is it just me , but all the TF's seem to sit pretty high. The gap between wheel and wheel arch seems HUGE.

yes, they are, also the hood sits really high when down as well, no way would you get a tonneau cover over itAndrew Regens wrote:The photos are great.
