Pleased to say this car is still alive. On my drive and keeping me busy with repairs. But nothing major. Alternator change was fun! Enjoyed reading its brief history above.

Great little story Rob, and its another 'N' plate.... well done. :D

I reckon my 'N' plate has had replacement subframes at some point, I have found markings written in yellow marker pen, or would the markings be from factory?

I just cant believe you paid £100 back in 2010, and paid just £34 for a hood. :o

What's she like now on rust Rob?

Could have had yellow marker from the factory or a breaker, what did it say?

Not sure: more like "3 EPAS NABS"? If so, likely from a scrap yard, as "3" is likely "03" - and the year the of the car the subframe was removed from.
EPAS because it was an EPAS equipped car (as all '03 TFs would have been)
NABS would I would have thought meant "no ABS" - which would be a surprise on an '03, as by then they'd all come with ABS as standard.

See if you can see the part number on the steering rack: my hunch is that you'll find that it is a TF rack if the "3" is the year of origin... :)
