It looked amazing, and the Lamborghini sounded immense going along it - just a shame it wasn't the spyder version

Yes Dave & Carole watched it.
Stunning program, three in one, travel program, cars and humour as they bounce off each other. Reminds me of the many 'Tech' nights I have spent with mates in New Zealand, guys ( some ladies as well) standing around some panel shop, private car build or perhaps a fibre glass shop. Mostely put on by the NZ Sports Car Club who cater for home built cars. Some of them are fantastic efforts either a replica or an individual design One I remember was like a boat tailed MG Magnette look a like with a special name 'Turatara' (NZ Native Lizzard) Who would have thought such a simple format would work on television and be so successful.

The Top Gear team battle the health and safety crew but always come up trumps with innovative offerings. I read this weekend Clarksons news paper article where he says' Small cars are good for us all, so is Cod Liver Oil' Don't you love it? I know not every one likes him but you have to admire there true enjoyment as they present each weeks effort. They appear not do do it just for the money. I envy them!

oh dear missed that one.

Drove the MGF up and down Stelvio both sides last summer
We were very lucky trafic was very low that day so we could use all power potentials of the engine and brakes. Even managed to face myself on taking easy by overheating the breaks.

After driving this pass for over a dozen times by now, it is still most impressive and chearfull. Looking forward facing this climb soon.
A huge difference regarding to the Gavia pass. Some 25 miles further down south. Tiny roads and heavy 4x4 trafic made that trip to a slow "enjoy the view" drive.

I think that's the 'pull' of the prog. It's fun for them, which makes it fun for me. Just one point.........perhaps the Hampster need a haircut?........looks more 'ratty' atm :)

The Stelvio was indeed memorable, but I would'nt have liked to take one of the cars they took up, I reckon they would've spent most of the time scapeing the floorpan on the corners?

Personaly I think they missed a chance for the best drive in europe (well for the next 3 months anyway)
.....the clydeside expressway ring

stunning hairpins, 30 degree bends off straigtes with imediate 3m dipps, the tunnel and the leagendery kingston bridge right hander with skyway on ramps

channel tunnel? its the clyde tunnel for me :)

Enjoyed every minute of the program. We did about the same trip last summer also started in Davos. Bud we stayed at Bormio to do a two way drive of the Stelvio.

Surprisingly they did not meet any other trafic, I should have joined them

Saw it last night, looked great I'll definitely have to put that on my list of things to do. I still think TG is one of the best entertainment programs on the telly at the moment - makes me and my wife laugh all the way through!

Gavia was a great pass 15 years ago at the time it did not have tarmac. Nowadays it is filled with cars that look to be albe handling the pass back then but only can do it now.

Still it is a great and exiting expericence, but there should be no oncomming traffic.
