Uncle Jack Turner Dies today
Sad news in the family today, uncle Jack died today at good old age of 95 at his fab home in Crickhowell,Jack was a lovely warm and kind man.
RIP 1916 - 2011
I don't think i've mentioned this before and some of you may have heard of him but my uncle Jack who lives in Crickhowell and been there about 40 years or so just up road from me was the designer and manufacturer of the Turner Cars, my auntie has sadly died but Jack is still very good for his age his picture taken last year at bottom of web page at his fab home in Crickhowell. i remember it a little but was about 6 when Petula Clarke came over for a car she picked me up and gave me a cuddle so my mum says, sadly i can't remember it,anyway here is Uncle Jacks website and it's full of info, see menu on left, he's is hugely popular in America, just thought i'd let mention this to you peeps ;D Dave

Have to admit I had never heard of the firm but they look really interesting cars Dave
They must be a real rarity too with only 600-700 ever made.

Cracking little car, but I just missed out on one years ago - lack of moneyKeith Williams wrote:Have to admit I had never heard of the firm but they look really interesting cars Dave

Still, I made do with an A35, Sprite engine/gearbox and front disc brakes and proper hydraulic rears. Rallied for several years until someone totalled it up the back while waiting at some traffic lights In N Wales

Comiserations from Dawn and I too dave, I remember some years back you telling me about an uncle with car history. Sad to see such a fine man go.

Sorry to hear your sad news Dave. I think that I told you before that I nearly bought one of your uncles cars which was based on a Midget/Sprite. Unfortunately, the salesman couldn't get it started so I walked.
