Oh even bigger B***ER, part 2

Post by redbeard57 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 4:13 pm

IMG_9101.jpg
Following the minor incident last March with Julie's 85th LE, we went even better this time, with not one, not two but three of our cars and another passing motorist coming together in one big heap on our drive at around 11.30pm last night......Anybody looking for a slightly used 160 Trophy with a couple of careful owners by any chance.......

By the way, I slept thru the whole impact thing, only to be woken by Julie shouting at me "Something big has just happened down stairs!!"

Oh no! I hope this is not contagious like the last time! I'm really sorry for you guys, it seems like 2011 is your Annus Horribus in the way of MG motoring! At first I thought it was a photoshop you had done, in fact I hoped it was! But seriously how did that happen?

Driver had a glass too many, wanted to fly in his Type R....managed to get sufficiently air bourne to write off the Trophy, probably write off the C8 and put the 85th back in hospital......

Think I had better resign while there are still MGs left on the road having written 2 off this year!!

Out of all bad things come good things...a white MG6? The photos are quite revealing, the strength of the F and TF windscreen frames is quite heartening to see!

Sorry to hear of yet another tragedy
Thankfully it was outside and you are both OK and not hurt, although perhaps you shed a few tears.
They are only metal so no doubt you will replace or move on.

Good grief ! You seem to be crash magnets at the moment - remind me not to follow you too closely on the next run ! Been trying to work out from the pics how this numpty managed to actually achieve this feat of rubbish driving and can't sus it out.
Can't believe the mess he made of the Trophy - I think your choice of expletive is mild in the circumstances !

I suppose you could say things like "It's lucky nobody was out the front of the house when it happened" and other mild mannered things. I think I would have been more inclined to dismember the drunken moron before the emergency services arrived. I sincerely hope you take his insurance to the cleaners, and have more luck in the future.

Shocking images & all because someone wanted a drink.

Glad no one was hurt in this incident which could have been much worse if it had occurred when people were around. Seriously bad luck that it ended in your front garden. A real shock to walk out to that in your front garden.

Oh my Lord!
What a shame I was looking forward to meeting you at the next meeting and being shown what I should be looking for in my hunt!
Low flying Honda's seem to be the main thing!
Hope the driver gets suitably shafted.

OMG! Thats not something you want to wake up to! Real shame about the cars but you are both safe and well and that's the main thing.

Driver wouldnt have been able to walk again if he hadnt left the scene in a hurry......the police sent the helecopter up to look for him and only found him an hour later hiding in wheely bins I believe. More shocking than that is the local busy-body old woman who has just approached me outside the house COMPLAINING about the local police dragging her nice neighbour away while making enough noise to wake her at 2.30 in the morning!! Talk about police brutality!!

Gutted for you Simon :(

Good to see that the 85th will survive, but idiots will always be inconsiderate to others. The important thing was that you were not hurt. ;)

Time will pass..... you will move on...... and the pics will remind you to install a higher fence!
