Forum rules
Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway! :)

Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

Copied Rothmans924's idea about stone chipping the entire sill.. Plus I'm now going to do the entire door opening.. To help protect against passengers getting in and out.. Seat belt hitting it etc

Ok.. It's textured.. But a lot tougher than just paint.. And you only notice it when you are within 6ft of the car..

Making great progress Allan! :thumbsu:

I vote against any stripes - it's looking so good as it is! :D

Have you managed to sort the front bumper yet? The Motobuild GRP TF500LE bumper doesn't look to be a perfect fit :(

The bumper is a poo fit.. But as its fibre glass... It's easy to chop and bond back together

No stripes.. Well at least for 6 months.. But kinda like it stripe less

Yer once the whole car is painted and polished Ive got front and rear bumpers to do.. Boot lid to finish.. And sort the huge gap on the hard top.. Aiming for 2mm gap all the way round the base of the hard top.. And no black edging strip..

It's coming on...

Both doors now finished.. Both wings.. Bonnet.. Screen surround.. And drivers rear quarter..

Just a few bits to sort on passenger side quarter..

Been going it several coats.. Then flatting it back and polishing with G6

Lovin' it!!

Have you fitted the hard top permanently? if not it's a blummin' good fit!!

Bilstein Shocks, Z&F Remap, B&G Coolant Alarm, Glass Rear Screen, Braided Hoses, Bling-free at the moment...but that'll probably change

The hard top is still removable Stuart..

I'm just making alterations to the bottom edge to get the gap down to -2mm

No black plastic edging strip either..

Want the car to look like a coupe from a short distance..

Planning to make a 'pod' too.. To cover the folded soft top...

it's awesome what you're doing to this car...and with the hardtop that snug and without the black edging strip that'll be a really good look. The normal fit is a bit lousy ay?

What plans have you got for the interior??
