I reckon the threads into the filter housing are 3/8".. A guess..

So have ordered 2x adapters to take it to AN8..

Need a load of oil and fuel hose.. And a shed load of AN8 fittings for both..

Need to connect the oil cooler up.. And R2D2..

Is that a TF160 oil filter adapter? If so, I need to get myself one of those...

The heat shield looks fantastic, and will do the job needed, so I think a good investment.

That happens to look like the blingest Laminova I've ever seen! Where did that come from?

Me bad!

Laminovas come in different lengths - this looks like the longest one: it'll be interesting to see how you can package this in the engine bay. Jerry put his Rover 25 diesel Laminova in the front bonnet area with a remote thermostat - it certainly aided with the packaging :)

The custom bracket lines are here..

Threaded ends and nuts in place of the stoopid circlip set up

Straight banjos on the back as I have the Hi Spec 2 pots.. Under £70 delivered for the 4

They do look good Alan - and reasonably priced too :)

The standard criclip arrangement I think is fine Alan - they only need to retain the hoses in place on the inner wing panels and are under no real load, but absolutely nowt wrong with the threaded end/nut solution :) I suspect that this is not a standard fitting due to increased cost of manufacture and assembly on the production line :)

Its a standard fitment on other cars..

One of my other 'toys' has that set up..

I just prefer the nut and bolt type set up..

Just me ;)

I can see no advantage in the circlip set up.. other than MGR having loads of circlip hoses laying around?

You are of course right ROb.. the circlip doesnt have to be strong.. its just holding the hose in place..

I just prefer the idea of passing the pipe through the body then tightening the securing nut up nice and tight..

On the other 'toy' that has threads and nuts fitted as standard the pipes pass through holes in the body in an almost identical set up to the F.. other than the absense of circlips

Cheaper - no thread to cut, and a circlip is cheaper than a nut. Also fitting a circlip on a production line takes barely a second, whereas a nut will take 5-10 seconds??

It comes down to cost and ease of construction :)

Current status is... It's progressing.. Slowly

Just the custom loom to finish and engine can run..

Exhaust back box being built 11th of July.. Then the rear bumper can be built..

I have 2 weeks off end of July to finish the bodywork and paint.. Re-fit glass and trim..

Interior is being flocked end of July.. Leather seats to do.. Need to sort contractor..

End is in sight

Had to do a fair bit of work to both rear arches to get the 235x40x 18s under them..
