Forum rules
Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway! :)

Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

Have never had nor used any reader but with four Rover or MG cars now it seems plausible that one may be very useful in the future.
I think £150. If you want one cheaper then buy one now.

I guess it may be a good idea to start a list of those going - just so that we know how many to expect... :)

1. Rob - with a T300 for EKA retrieval and key fob coding (works very well with Lucas key fobs, not so sure about the Pektron variety...) - will try and steal the in-law's ZS120 (Mk2) for the day ;)
2. Phillip - with his OBD reader

I'll be there with my LE500...particularly to discuss the Servicing Indicator...and to confirm to Philip that he has the Chinese TFs covered....planning to be there around 10 but can be later if that works better...../David

ps...alternatively, I could bring my 2003 Freelander td4

My plan is to spend the morning at Barnet, and then at lunchtime move on to another Rover club at Halfway House in Essex, unless anyone objects?

David. Bring the LE500 to Barnet and then take the Freelander to Halfway House :-)

I will be there with our TF.
I believe Purplebargeken will be there in his VVC.

I'm quite eager to see what plans there are for the software....

I think Phillip is open to suggestions and particularly for help. If I were a software designer, then I'd be busy writing apps for this device now!

Couple of thoughts - does Phillip want to borrow an ECU from a 1.1 Rover 100?

and

would it be possible to either have a bluetooth output or have a bluetooth adaptor?
