Central locking and immobiliser
i have an issue with the central locking / immobiliser on my TF. When I try to lock the car using the remote control or the key in the drivers door lock the horn sounds and the car immediately unlocks. Also I notice that the interior lights stay on for a long time, even when driving, but do eventually go out. The fault does clear itself when the car has been parked up for about an hour and the system then works as it should. I'm thinking driver's door lock microswitch or maybe a relay in the BCU, has anyone experienced the same problem and found a fix to it? The car is late 2003 ('53 reg) and has the Pektron remote central locking system thanks!!!

Re: Central locking and immobiliser
I had the same problem with my LE500...replaced the drivers side door catch mechanism and everything works fine now....

excellent...thanks for the prompt reply . I guess these things are not easily repairable (if at all) so I've ordered a salvaged one. Very odd that the fault goes away after an hour, that's electronics for you

Yes. I agree it's the intermittency of it that gets you...it should either work or not..but thems the micro switches for you...must admit I went with a new one...Coz you just know it's only a matter of time before it goes again...!..
