Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway! :)

ABS controller pinout needed

Post by pscan.eu » Mon Apr 20, 2015 3:16 pm

Hi
I bought a Rover 25 ABS controller on ebay as I need something on the bench to test my diagnostic protocol.
I am guessing that it will be the same as the MGF as the protocol certainly is, and I found this wiring diagram

The problem is that the pins on the controller connector are not numbered so I don't know which one is which.

Has anyone got a diagram on the connector on the ABS controller?

thanks, Philip

On the ABS connector shown in that diagram, you'll see that each pin has an alpha-numeric code along the lines of "C6-10". C6 is the connector, and the number, in this example, "10" is the pin.

I am at work at the moment, but I should have a spare ABS controller somewhere.

PS Early MGFs use Bosch 5.0 as you know - whereas later ones (and TFs) use 5.3 - which I suspect may be the version you've got off eBay?

There is now a software update for pscan which makes the ABS 5.0/5.3 protocol work again.

I think the pin numbers are on the other side of the socket, under the cover.

But can PScan make the ABS go through its operating sequence, I.e power the relay , valves and pump to assist in brake bleeding ?
