OK - new to me Madge the MG has so far thrown up v.few issues and am grinning ear to ear - I have a Reliant Scimitar waiting for me to fit her new stainless steel fuel tank, buy new carpets wire up the XJS electric mirrors (that I fitted 9 years ago --- really!!!!!!!!!) and said I'd not buy a 'sports car' with anything with less than 6 cylinders BUT for some reason just b4 xmas delved into MGTF world ==== back to the last 2 weeks ----- carpet are WET = really wet - thought with puppy training pads they'd dry = NOPE === got so far with getting the carpets out - seats out central dash out realised there's more work to get the central console out which was going to do today - have left the 1.5kw fan heater in the car swapping from n/s to o/s every waking hour and car is 99% dry BUT
leaning across the car to move the carpets I got a run of water down my arm - thinking it was the frame seals -- but it seems water is running down the door cards and into the car (my next check had been to check the front bonnet air box) on both sides --- I'm not 100% convinced and will run the obligatory hose pipe at the weekend = door drain holes are all clear.........
Also with a cold atmosphere and hot interior from the fan heater there's some 'sweating' - thought it was the foam exuding water bit by bit but its definitely 'sweating' "I think"
Am I missing any points here???? still can't decide whether to buy pscan (which can't program remotes on the Pektron system - not that I need to yet BUT.....) or an upgrade to my BlackBox Solutions MSV Extreme which also can't program remotes is limited to 1 VIN but is a known system even if £50 more expensive -- probably wait until I do have an issue
