Hi all, just changing a water pump after having done HG on a 2002 135 TF.
With the water pump I have received the large "O" ring rubber seal and a strange "U" shaped rubber plug that fits of a small outcrop of metal that seems to protect the "special" bolt on the water pump.
A photo of what I received can be seen here:

As you might have guessed, I'm not sure what to do with the small rubber plug, should it be fitted on the car or is it just for transport?
Thanks!
Water pump change, rubber plug?
