MGF MK1 wheel nuts
Hi,
after spending hours trying to get the back wheels off have decided to replace wheel nuts with new set.
Does anyone know the size of thread depth ? Plenty on EBay but am wary as to the correct thread depth, for example would these be too short thread wise to hold the wheel on ?
Specifications
Thread size: M12 x 1.5
Overall nut width: 28mm
Overall nut height: 30mm (inc head & seat)
Internal thread length: 24mm
Seat type: Tapered 60° degrees(Cone shaped)
Material: Heat treated carbon alloy steel
Finish: Bright Zinc Plated
Spanner size: 19mm Hex
Our stock code: N40
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: MGF MK1 wheel nuts
I've just replaced a full set of wheel nuts on my 97 Mk1 MGF - 15" original alloys. I used these:

I bought these when fitting my black alloys and they were perfect
M12x1.5
Internal thread 28mm
Overall width 24.5mm
Overall length 34mm
Tapered seat
19mm hex head
Doesn't state the taper angle but they were perfect and they do zinc plated ones as well (probably the ones you are looking at!)

Re: MGF MK1 wheel nuts
Hi,
thanks for that, yes the right size but am advised to use floating washer type to protect alloys. Hard to find the size though, ie 34 mm.
