Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.
Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. My winter wheels are steel rim 14" with Bridgestone Blizzak studless friction tyres. Great riding comfort and working well on Norwegian winter roads.

This was more of a Cost Cutting exercise. An aerosol of rubber is much cheaper than a wheel and tyre. It will only work on a very minor hole.Helsbyman wrote:HA that's why I didn't get a spare wheel with my TF160
The 160 has the same rear brakes as an F so a 14in would be preferable as in the case of a bad front tyre, it can be fitted to the rear and the rear transfered to the front.
The 4 X 14in setup used to be the common winter tyre set up due to the cost of a 2nd set of alloys which of course changed with the Scappage Scheme when 2nd hand alloys became affordable.
It should be noted that only the 15in wheels should be used as snow chains cannot be fitted over the 16in wheel.
