Hi Our early 2002 tf 160 has its engine management light on.
Our OBD2 readers will not connect to it, but will to a tf 135 from september of 2002 we have here, and read any faults.
Has anyone used one of these to read the faults on mgfs or early tfs?

Its a T300 scanner.
Any feedback would be good before we go down the path of buying one.
We have tried swaping sensors and plugs and coil packs from one car to the other , but cannot get rid of the eml. the only thought is that the car had two HGF in two weeks caused by the prt stat failing. This may have ruined the cat causing the eml.
Another thought anyone in Normandy France with the right equipment to find the fault?

Re: tf 160 eml problem
If there is a problem with one reader accessing your ECU it'll be the same with them all.
It isn't because of the age of your car, they were OBD2 compliant from late 1999.

Re: tf 160 eml problem
Which sensors have you swapped?
Eml is normally caused by the cat not working properly or the post cat lambda not working? (Assuming car idles/drives okay)
