I have just brought one off this company after reading recommendations from the club magazine.

http://www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk/index.html

Not tried it yet as haven't had the time yet. They do some neat other stuff too like boot mats!

Hamilton Classic do sell good quality parts, but not cheap ones, but they do offer a 10% discount to MG Car Club members which helps.

Hi Folks,

Any recommendations for a decent full cover for the F outdoors? I may be losing my garage space....

About 10 years ago the F lived for 2 years under a cheap Halfords 3/4 cover (covered all the bodywork but didn't quite cover the lower half of the wheels). Tbh it seemed fine - although I did use some pipe insulation formed into shapes (very hi-tech!) to lift most of the cover off the bonnet & roof & boot - however it did of course cling to the doors and wings etc, although no lasting damage.

Given the above and that I will remove to run/air every 2 weeks I am not sure that I can stretch to a Hamilton classic - however appreciate any recommendations & experiences either way re low/mid/high end solutions.

cheers

I commented above about buying a Hamilton one and I wish i didn't. It destroyed my paintwork. Even though I uncovered it a few times each month to air it has still ruined the laquer on the paint. It also made the inside go mouldy until I started to use some dehumidifiers. Very expensive too so I don't know what I was doing wrong
It's now sat out in the elements with just a hood cover which stops my leaky roof from drowning the cabin

ouch - very sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing though.

Have you been able to recover the lacquer issue - or would it require a respray?
I'm guessing it was the flat panels (roof, bonnet etc) that were worse, rather than the side panels?

I've just bought one from https://www.cover-zone.com/products/car ... tormforce/ recommended elsewhere, for my BGT, appears to be the same material as others i have and which do the job.

No I've decided its' a good time to invest in a vented bonnet so may have done me a favour :thumbsu:

It was just the bonnet and top of wings as you say.

Repeat buyers are always a good sign!
How long have you had your other cover for - and have you had the vehicle permanently covered (i.e. all year/all weathers) without deterioration to cover or vehicle?

Storm car covers, get either a “voyager” for light usage or a “monsoon” for winter.

Both really good quality, not the cheapest but I’ve been really impressed with mine.
