Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.
Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.
Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway!
Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

seat wiring advice following seat swap
I have fitted a pair of Mgf leather seats into my Mgtf today and the wiring plugs for the srs are different so Iam going to use crimp connectors instead.
On the car wiring plug right hand under the seat the colours are red/brown one wire and brown the other. On the left hand car loom under the seat it is orange/blue one wire and orange the other.
On the seats them selves the colours are blue/red one wire and blue/white the other.
Can somebody please advise which wires connect to which.

Re: seat wiring advice following seat swap
Swap the units, IIRC they are only held in place by one T50 bolt, this is the same bolt as the seats are held down with.

Wot? Your original seats didn't have seat belt tensioners fitted? How did you manage to buckle up then??

Re: seat wiring advice following seat swap
My cloth seats were swapped for leather ones aswell as the pre tensioners, I had a spare set of tensioners but didnt know that the wiring would be different. Any advice with wiring colours would help me.

Re: seat wiring advice following seat swap
Is it possible to get hold of the person in the swap deal and swap the pre-tensioners over?

Re: seat wiring advice following seat swap
Do I get it correctly that you have the yellow connectors on the car and red ones on the seats? Attached you find the pin out (face view) for the red connectors on the car, so you can compare the cavity positions to their counterparts on the seats and allocate them correctly.
As the colours are coded in Rover-speech, here’s the translation: O = orange, OU = orange-blue, N = brown, NR = brown-red.
Sadly neither the connectors nor the wire colours on the seat wires are recorded in the books.
Hope this helps.
