Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.
Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.
Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway!
Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

MGF Trophy 160 Coolant Leak
MGF Trophy 160 coolant question. It seems that I have a water leak from the water rail on the back of the engine. So a few questions; is there a pdf that shows this area and what parts would I need to fix this and sourced from where (Note that I live in France), has anyone else had the problem and know what the issue is? Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

Dieters website in Germany is a good source of info for the MGF - he has a parts list https://www.mgfcar.de/epc/2.htm
Rimmer Brothers also has exploded views and are a good source of parts who ship world wide https://rimmerbros.com/SubCategory--MGF-MG-TF--m-1612

Replacement is the only repair, they were mild steel and eventually rot. It is expensive but they are making the engine pipes in SS if you want to future proof.

Double check & test aftermarket SS engine coolant pipes before getting too far into the installation. I bought a set about 3 years ago now and:
1. they were full of welding pinholes, which I had to get welded up. The welding was of fairly poor quality too with spatter everywhere; and
2. the thermostat connection was too big, but about 1.5mm. Tiny amount but it took a lot of 'bodging' to get it to seal.
Hopefully, I just had a bad set, but it's very annoying to have to pull everything off again to get it fixed.
