I've tried a search but can't seem to find correct answers. Does my 2001 MEMS 3 MGF have two of these sensors, one pre and one post cat?
I want to order one/two but being around £60 each I don't wanna waste money unnecessarily.
I've seen these on Rimmers and have checked my VIN number which appears to say I need 2.

I'd rather original than eBay aftermarket ones.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

You should be able to see the post cat (if it has one) by looking through the nearside rear wheel arch. If you can see a post cat sensor you'll need two. They're a pain to get out if they've been in place for some time.

Re: O2/Lamda sensors
As far as I know all MEMS 3 cars will have two sensors but as above it is better to do a vasal inspection. As much as I like to work on my own car it for me it would be a job I would let a local exhaust place do!

Re: O2/Lamda sensors
Not all MEMS3 cars do have two sensors - but any vehicle registered after 1st January 2001 had to be EU3 homologated by law - so will have the post cat Lambda, along with the fuel enrichment lambda sensor in the exhaust manifold.
