The three ring lights are NLA new, used are rare but occasionally do get on ebay. The four ring lights as can seen are available both new (and used). I fitted a set of 'black' ones but didn't like them when fitted and went back to OEM.

ultimatestyling.co.uk do the 4 ring ones around £100 a pair + del, the maker is Junyan so obvious where they are prob made. Compared to 2nd hand prices on the Bay they seem cheap but no idea of quality, so buy some and report back (please)

Three ring lights were always the nicest looking IMO - and were also available in black...

I got the 4 ring lights from Ultimate styling, they are aftermarket so I had my fingers crossed, guess what, they went in like a dream the hardest bit was cleaning off 20 years worth of muck in the recesses before fitting.
A couple of days later the Xpart rear light covers turned up, they fit like %^&* and will be coming off again to refit, I never liked the fact they use the light fitting studs. When looking on line prior to purchase a lot of SH lights have broken/repaired studs so they are obviously not that strong so I'm going to look at making some separate mounts for the covers.

I have the Xpart rear light covers and and they fit very well. Using the light fitting studs works well because you leave the original nut in place and just add another nut once the light cover is fitted to hold it in place.

I used a discreet cable tie to hold my rear light covers in place.

Intrigued, I looked at mine today. The studs are welded to the body, pass through the plastic bulb carrier and the light covers with just room for the flanged nut to finish with the male thread flush with the nut. Looks about right, although OEM lights and cover.Deepfat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:37 pmA couple of days later the Xpart rear light covers turned up, they fit like %^&* and will be coming off again to refit, I never liked the fact they use the light fitting studs. Were the covers available pre the 2009 Chinese models - I can't remember?
Can't work out why you think the covers fit like %^&* and that SH lights have broken/repaired studs, as the studs are welded to the bodywork
If 2 nuts can be fitted, did F's have longer studs than TF's?
Anyway, the covers are really useful and should have been fitted from the start.

Perhaps they're different on a TF. On both the OEM and Lexus rear lights on my 'F', the fitting studs are plastic welded into the light units (from whence comes the problem of broken studs). The studs pass through a hole in the rear bodywork and are secured with a flanged nut. Of course on the F there is no inner rear light cover.
