The brakes feel a bit solid and I'm wondering if the servo is working. Is it possible to change the servo without disconnecting hydraulics. I can bleed brakes but if I can avoid it...

Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Yes, definitely possible to do this - the master cylinder bolts to the servo, and the actuator rod from the pedal passes through the centre of the servo that needs disconnecting. The servo then bolts to the bulkhead via a bracket with four threaded bars. Thus, the hydraulic components are all separate from the mechanical side and vacuum assist.
Are you sure its the servo at fault and not a sticking caliper piston?
