Adrian, after contorting myself under the bonnet I have managed to capture a couple of pics of the infamous, and difficult to find TF headlight adjuster, for use when driving on the left.

oh them things are a really pain i gave up last time and angered the french motorists but i did leave it at little last minute i'll make more of an effort next time

I have just returned from Le Mans (went on the NW Centre 50th Anniversary run commemorating SRX210's exploits in 1959/60/61).

I really battled with two others to blank off the dipped beam 'lift' using the levers.

I strongly recommend, at least the first time, that you do the following:

1. Remove the MG badged cover plates on top of the headlamp. You can then see the two positions that the lever latches into - there are two detents.

2. Remove the bulbs, and the two retaining clips, and move the headlamp connectors well out of the way.

3. Use an appropriate length of screwdriver to move the lever. I found that I needed a longer screwdriver on the offside because cables get in the way.

The levers need to be pushed SIDEWAYS as follows:

Nearside headlamp - observe position of lever from above through the aperture concealed by the MG badged cover. Then move the lever towards the OFFSIDE. It will click into place once moved. Confirm from above that it is latched in the alternate position.

Offside headlamp - as above, the lever must also be moved towards the OFFSIDE.

When you wish to reenable the dip, reverse the procedure. When complete, the levers when viewed from above should both be in the detent position closest to the NEARSIDE of the car.

I strongly recommend trying this out at home before you go - I have found that trying it for the first time on the quayside is not a good idea!
