Forum rules
Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway! :)

Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

oppss !!!

I thought my couple of cracks on the rear screen were bad but mine is very minimal compared to yours. New rear screen for me once the better weather comes. Tape over cracks will do until then :thumbsu:

I used Car Hood warehouse, they are in Chessington (opposite the theme park)

Good service and relatively inexpensive - had the plastic screen replaced (couldn't justify the cost of a whole new hood with Glass Screen) and it still looks good as new today (had it done about 3 years ago).

Fitted one of their glass panels back in April and have been very pleased with it. :thumbsu:

There are a number of products that can be very successfully used to polish the plastic rear windows.

I would try that option first.

I have used a product called Hindsight which transformed my window. But other products include Greygate, and Autoglym do one too.

Why not buy a hard top for the winter they make all the difference. I'm scrapping my mgf at the end of Feb and will be selling its hardtop for £350. As they are £1500 new and its in perfect condition its a good buy. If you want to come round and try it on for size feel free to call. I live in Pulborough W Sussex
