Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Well Guys, the pump worked a treat and did the job. Although one side looked as if was on stilts when all four tyres were on the ground, let some of the pressure out, now all about 365mm from centre of wheel to the bottom of the wheel arches. No issues with the units, so all four are good.
So, if someone in the Norwich area is having difficulty finding a garage to do it. Get in touch and I will see if I can help out.

I'm happy to help for anyone in the Thame, Oxfordshire area for a reasonable contribution to the cost of the fluid and a bit of notice.

Easy check for gas loss from the suspension units is to push the corners of the car down. If there is no movement and the corners feel solid, you have no gas in your hydragas units and they need regassing.
Pumping up the suspension on a car in that condition to restore the ride height is a waste of time. It will have a back breaking ride and handle like a pig. You will be effectively driving around on solid suspension.
It is well worth doing this job properly. Regassing the units will transform the car.

Our recently acquired mk1 was quite low so I got Mike Stafford of MJS to do a fly by pump on his way past Crawly where I work.
If that is all you need he can sometimes fit you in as he flies past you too.
