Tony, just wondering about that expansion tank, it being a late car: has it got the coolant level sensor built in? In which case, I'd be interested in it :)

Are you planning to sell the engine with all ancillaries/ wiring loom attached Tony?

(PS just to confirm the earlier posting that yes, this car will have solid subframe mounts and the faster steering rack)

Hi, I have a new spare wheel but my jack etc is not in good condition - do you have a price for the "kit" including the foam base?

Cheers

My spare is the standard steel wheel (never been used as far as I can tell). I now have 16" 11 spokes on the car (just upgraded to add AP calipers) - is the spare a 16" alloy then?

Best

No, the 115 wasn't equipped with the 52mm TB - and I think you'll find it also has the plastic inlet plenum. The air box was standardised on all TFs to the larger item though as I recall. Whether it has one or two air intakes I am not sure, but if it has two, it will be the larger airbox! If selling for an earlier car, best to do so with the mounting bracket, as this is different to the mounting used in the older MGFs.

When were you thinking of popping round?

the wheel shown in my pictures is the spare wheel taken from the car, it had a full set of five, I asked the question about the steel wheel as the foam insert will not fit it

Tony, just as a suggestion, I can see the boot lid is wrecked but the Spark badge is very rare, if that's survived could you remove it, I'm sure somebody will want one (often the tip of the K gets caught in a cleaning cloth and breaks off or bends back. I'll have it and keep until somebody wants one if you like if you give me a price, I could collect it with Michael's bits at Stoneleigh if possible.

an update, wheels have been checked and two have survived, so two wheels with ok tyres and one new wheel and tyre with the foam insert and jack kit, maybe useful if you prefer a full size spare

Hi Tony,

I spy with my little eye that you also have a 1.8 Turbo engine sitting next to this 1.6. Do you still have the two breather hoses, one of them connecting the rocker cover to the inlet manifold (with the valve) and the other going down to the turbo intake?

Cheers

I have just realised that this is the 115 engine so its the cams as the 135, may now split this if any interest
