UPDATED FIRE SALE... hording must stop, restore my abingdon

Post by chrisrigby » Sun Apr 19, 2015 7:21 pm

I have a problem!!

I've been collecting mgf & mgtf parts and now I need to clear them out, a recent purchase has cost me and I need to some cash together to keep it on the road. I managed to find an Abingdon in great condition but less than 100 miles later it blew the head gasket, it need new roof and other bits plus the MOT is next week.

I will accept offers as bit by bit I shall add them to eBay... Open to offers on it all as it needs to go. Collection is best I live near Andover but I'm sure postage can be arranged as buyers cost.

A large list so if you need or fancy anything best message me, as I can send pictures of everything.

UPDATE: Items now on ebay under seller name chrisspider21 added some prices as a guide!

The list:
MG ROVER Chrome roll hoops with Mk2 black tonneau cover. £220

Hello Chris,
New member with a '97 VVC, and not too familiar with MGF's but I'm very interested in :- (in descending order)
The green roof (but what's a 'Mania' roof please ? I'm after a green soft top, not a hard top. Please clarify for this neewbie)
The chrome roll hoops
The Performance exhaust ~ what's included/excluded ?
Maybe the 6bolt manifold & down pipe depending on what's included in performance exhaust (above)
At some point in the future I want to have my .97 VVC ECU re-mapped, but I believe these early cars don't have re-mappable units (?) Is one of yours the type that can be remapped ? If so I;m interested in that as well.

As I think I'm the first to reply can you please give me first refusal while we sort out what's what and try agree prices for the bits I'm interested in
If telephones are quicker and easier my No is 01507 603351

Hi and welcome to the forum Paul.

A "mania" hood is short for MGF Mania who are a sort top specialist including glass rear window.

On a 97 your car will be MEMS 2 which isn't remabable but I beleive that Chris has all the bits to convert it to MEMS 3 and thus be remambable.

Hi there, how much for the cone filter and elbow? I presume it'll fit the mpi and do you notice much difference or more noise?

Cheers
