Thanks. Looks like no body wants them. Second time of advertising will be a shame to skip them.

Re: Grey Alcantara Seats
Yep. I thought they would be an easy sell.
Not in perfect condition but surely a better option than the standard ones?
Or maybe it's just me that's the issue?

I don't understand this? Have I missed something?michaelb wrote: Or maybe it's just me that's the issue?
Perhaps no one wants a set at the moment, or those that want them felt they were a bit far?

Re: Grey Alcantara Seats
Part of the problem is being collect only and not willing to wrap for a courier, both sets are far to far for me to justify collecting.
Home to black Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4, blue MGZR160, green MGF VVC and grey MGF 1.8i, and red MG Maestro T16.

the trouble with a courier is its not an option due to the job I do.talkingcars wrote:Part of the problem is being collect only and not willing to wrap for a courier, both sets are far to far for me to justify collecting.
I cannot take them with me and I won't be able to remain at home for them to be collected.
then what do I pack them in?
is Bolton really in the middle of nowhere??? if I was in Aberdeen I could kind of understand.

Re: Grey Alcantara Seats
I'm not having a go, a lot of buyers expect more than some sellers are able to offer.
Personally I have access to pallets and cardboard, have another car big enough to fit a pair of seats and can drive the 10 miles to the local hubs of most of the carrier companies.
Bolton - might as well be Aberdeen when you live 20 miles from the south coast, I took some of my family for lunch today in a diner on the sea front. And one of the party lives in Middleton right next to J19 on the M62 so I do have an idea of how far Bolton is.........

Re: Grey Alcantara Seats
Wincanton is an hour and a half away from me.
Bolton is Four and a half hours away from me.
Distance was not an issue, I am regularly all over the country.
The issue for me with Michael's set is timing and thats it. Last weekend I was in Peterbough for Mod Nats. This weekend is two children's birthdays and then I am in Bridligton to drop the third child off. The weekend after would potentially be a good time to collect seats. However Michael was seemingly not willing to wait that long and since I can't do weekdays (As work in Guildford) I didn't push any harder.
If Stux's seats are still available in a couple of weeks then I will be more than happy to come and collect them for the monies mentioned above. However I do understand that some people can't wait that long and would rather skip them and make no money than wait for a buyer.

To be fair I haven't been asked to hold them pending collection which I may have done.ZSx wrote:Wincanton is an hour and a half away from me.

Weekends are also best for me as I work during the week and also travel all over the country.
I work on getting a quick turnaround so I would have been open to an offer.
As I had not one offer or even an enquiry about them after a month I drew the conclusion that no one wanted them.
Sad but the market for these cars is shrinking all the time.

But you just carried on talking about tipping them and didn't even suggest you would consider holding on to them.ZSx wrote:I'd take them, if you were not so far away! (heading up to Peterbourgh next weekend, bridlington the weekend after, so no chance of getting up to you in the next few weeks!)michaelb wrote:these are going to the tip this week if anyone cares
Never mind though, sounds like cross wires a bit. I will PM Stux and see if his seats are still available.
Thanks
