A bit worrying with only a month on MOT to go, I had looked at this already but decided against it for that reason.

With the amount of work already done it looks like the car has been well looked after so can't imagine there is a huge amount wrong obviously you'd have to go and have a look.

Why don't you ask them to put it through an MOT, or for the sake of £50 you could even offer to pay for it and look at it as a cheap 'inspection' service which you'd probably pay the AA £150 for...

MOT august 2016...

Advisory notice item(s):-

front and rear subframes are starting to corrode
Brake pipe slightly corroded front to rear (3.6.B.2c)
Rear Brake pad(s) wearing thin (3.5.1g)
Front brake discs corroded
Rear brake discs corroded
beam pattern is only just visible
Nearside Front wing edge is corroded

So both sub frames are starting to go...

nothing major there if the price stays low, the sub frames probably just need a clean off & coat of paint, new headlight, wing, brake pads & wipe the brake pipes off with some wire wool.

Then you've got whatever other issues have surfaced throughout the last 12 months, that being said, it still looks like a bargain to me.

Only thing is if the sub frame and wing are rusting then there may also be more rust else where...but worth a look and bid at the right price...
