Rimmer Bros and Brown & Gammons sell new hinges but are you sure you need them?
It is normally the bushes that fit inside the hinge that have worn or the pins themselves.
I tried to buy new pins for Cath,F a while ago but they was not available at the time. Mike Satur makes Stainless steel bushes (worth trying first). The last time I spoke to him he was looking into getting the pins made but I am not sure if he has sorted them yet.
I would give him a call it could save a few quid.

A cheaper option would be source a second hand pair of pins from the passenger side door (less likely to be worn) and fit the Mike Satur bushes.

Cheers Gary, I’ve already fitted the MS bushes (but not the pins) and unfortunately that didn’t fix the issue, I took it to an MG specialist today and he said there is a lot of play in hinges so they need to be replaced...

I just ordered a set of hinges from MGOC Spares £64...I could fit them myself, but it’s quite a pain removing the bumper/wings/door so to do them and I want it to be right so might just pay the guy if that’s what needed...

Wonder if just the replacement pins would have done it?

When I fitted them on the F I didn't have to take the wings off just the wheel and liner, but it was a right pain in the a**e aligning the doors and I still don't the gap is consistent all the way round. So like yourself I am thinking of getting a pro to realign the door.

Bear in mind we tend to be hypercritical of our own work, especially if we're not entirely confident about a job. The professionals often don't have any trick to it beyond knowing what people won't notice if it's not pointed out to them - perfection is rarely the required standard, but once you've been up close to something for a while working on it, it's easy to lose perspective and obsess over minor imperfections.

So it's possible you've done the job to a higher standard than the pro would, but now you're noticing a minor imperfection that would have escaped notice if you hadn't done the job yourself.

That said, I find it much easier to hang doors if you focus on supporting them well in exactly the right position first: then attaching the hinges is trivial. Most people seem to spend ten seconds putting something under the door to position it about right, then a few minutes struggling with hinges. Take the time to prepare propearly and you'll make your life much easier (as usual...).
