Free 1996 MGF
We are sad to say its time to let Cath's 1996 MGF go. Its in Charcoal Grey with matching hard top.
The soft top is in excellent condition, it was brought from B&G and has a glass rear screen that works perfectly.
The wheels are also in good condition (no curbing), Stainless exhaust, Stainless rear heat shield, Stainless coolant pipes and the engine runs well and a Aluminum
Bad Bits,
It leaks like a sieve everywhere and the drivers seat is shot. The battery is good but something is causing it to go flat, I have fitted a cut out switch to the battery and when engaged the battery stays fully charged.
In all honesty I think this car is past repairing but has a lot of decent parts.
We don't want to strip any bits off the car, if you want it take the whole thing, it can be driven away.

Hi James,
If you get the car and don’t want the soft top and mechanism my 1996’s one is very past it’s best and a new one would be great, let me know as I’m more than happy to pay postage. If it’s a VVC my wheels are tired and need sorting.
Not after much lol, but will help save my new to me white one I’ve just posted in the newbie section.
Thanks
Carl

Hi caths mg
Second attempt at posting a reply don't know where the first one went.
If the first people decide not to have the mg I am interested in the whole car.
Starting to renovate a 1995 f, need many parts facia and soft top being two of the biggies.
Regards
Pete

Hi Gary
Once again thanks.
The car is much better than you suggest above, she is defiantly a keeper.
Thanks

Re: Free 1996 MGF
Hi and welcome to the forum Pete
Although I am keeping this car I do have the remains of a mk1 that was beyond repair so if you let me know what you need I can see what we have. Post in a new thread there will be others who can help too.

Re: Free 1996 MGF
Sorry to hear that you've parted with Cath's MG Gary, but it is indeed a lovely car as I recall, and James, you've got a bargain car that is well worth saving!

Re: Free 1996 MGF
There's no saving this one, just a bit of TLC.
