MGF Amaranth WANTED.
I am looking for an MGF in Amaranth as a 60th Birthday surprise for my Wife. She used to own one in this (rare) colour and loved it. If you have one or know of one please get in touch. Thanks.

Re: MGF Amaranth WANTED.
I wanted mine in that colour back in 1995/96 when I bought my BRG car - in the end I felt it would be easier to sell a BRG coloured car. But now I haven't sold the car!

What on earth was the £3k spent on?!
Re: MGF Amaranth WANTED.
Storage costs ?
Re: MGF Amaranth WANTED.
That F has the same boot spoiler has my N-reg Amaranth F. Did all N-reg Amaranth Fs come with a boot spoiler?
Funny, the selling price now is the same as mine was on eBay for 11 years ago.

Looks like the first one is in fact in Morello Plumb, but the second is for sure AmaranthLeefy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 5:45 pmhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MGF-VVC/1847 ... %7Ciid%3A1

No - the spoiler was never sold on any Mk1 MGF except for the special editions - specifically, the Wedgewood Blue SE, the Freestyle SE and the Trophy 160SE. But this spoiler was available from around 1998/1999 as an optional extra or dealer fit option - and many were supplied and fitted on this basis
Both the eBay cars here look pretty good, albeit needing some TLC... The killer would be rust in the sills or the chassis rails: professional repairs in these areas can easily exceed the value of the completed car unfortunately

Re: MGF Amaranth WANTED.
With regards to the boot spoiler, the one that came on the Wedgewood Blue SE, (the Freestyle SE and Trophy are different design) was a 4 attachment bolt design, mine is the earlier 2 attachment bolt design. If you were to see my spoiler, it has lifted slightly at the front, which I think is the reason that they went to a 4 attachment design. I have part numbers somewhere but do you think I can find them right now, nope.Rob Bell wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:11 pmNo - the spoiler was never sold on any Mk1 MGF except for the special editions - specifically, the Wedgewood Blue SE, the Freestyle SE and the Trophy 160SE.
