Wanted or Info: spare wheel cover for frunk

Post by Tomcatciller » Thu Oct 27, 2022 7:07 am

Hello MG colleagues,

today I found an MGTF advertisement video with an interessting detail. The TF in this Video has a nice spare wheel cover.

Does anybody know where I can buy such a thing?

I already have a garage full cover for my Trophy, so an additional cover for the spare wheel would be amazing.

I’m curious, after more than 22 years of MGF ownership and following fora, part sering companies and MGRover,I never ran into this before. So I’m interested as well, not for the F but for my TF.

Thank you for the tip, Facebook (Marketplace and Groups) seems to be the holy grail in getting parts.

Found the offer here and ordered a Space saver cover with brown on yellow MG Logo.
Space saver cover - £39
Full size wheel cover- £41
Prices includes UK Mainland p&p
.

I pay £11 extra for shipment to Germany (£50 total). Will report if its here.

Greetings

And you have the underbonnet storage box, available for European markets! I would be interested in getting one for my car (yes, it is RHD, but I've swapped over my brake master cylinder ;)) - if anyone knows of one for sale?

Don’t know if they are aware of the continental prices you have to pay for these storage bins nowadays

At the moment in german Kleinanzeigen there is one for sale:

https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anz ... 7-223-4805

250€ plus 7€ shippment within Germany. Good price because in 2019 i payed 400 € for original one. There are rare in EU but strangly get more often available in the last years due to salvage of many cars.

The dutch MG Expert CowaParts also offers a recreated Version which I had before I got hands on my original one:

https://www.cowacarparts.com/product/mg ... box-nieuw/

Here you have comparision between original and CoWaVersion in German Forum:
