New regional group and rep
The more observant of you will notice the name of the region has changed slightly to Anglia MGF and the position has changed in the regional forum listings.
Jeff Gower, 4wheels, has offered to support us as a regional rep in the Anglia region.
Jeff has already organized a couple of pub meets and I hope the local members, now they have a contact point will support Jeff and the Register in our 20th birthday year.
I am sure Jeff will be along shortly to introduce himself and get the ball rolling.

Well done Jeff, welcome to the family. I hope you are both well.
Why don't you pop back to Essex for MGFIM in May ? www.mgfim.org for details. Hopefully you will make it to Gaydon for MGF20.

Always good to see a section reborn ... but why are so many becoming MGF? Suggests TFs may not be welcome which can be a turn off to those who spent hard earned money buying their cars new from dealers in an attempt to support the factory.
BTW I'll be joing you a couple of times during the summer months as time permits. I'm in Herts so have the Herts/NorLond group on doorstep, Essex nearby and now Anglia. I also fit in trips to Midlands and , less frequently, have travelled as far as Yorkshire for a lunch meet then back home again afterwards.
See you soonish Geoff.

Re: New regional group and rep
Of course I can only speak for myself, but I don’t see the MGF/TF naming issue to be that serious, John. In fact, calling the TF TF instead of MGF Mk3 may have been the initial error. Comparing it to the chrome and rubber bumper MGB’s, the facelift from the MGF to the TF was about as much as it was then. Okay, there’s more underneath, coil over instead of hydragas, better torsional stiffness etc, but basically it’s sill Gerry’s fabulous design.
So, as I have both MGF and TF, I don’t feel excluded by calling any event MGF or MG TF only.

Re: New regional group and rep
It was very tongue in cheek Mykel. I still refer to my LE as a TF Facelift when talking to TFs from the 1950s.
