MGCC SouthWest Centre events feedback please
The MG Car Club South West Centre Committee are meeting in early February to discuss a way forward for trying to get more members involved in events organised by the Centre
Over the last few years participation in competitive driving events has declined. The committee would like to establish if organising these type of events is viable.
The committee notes that Social Runs seem to be popular. Do members want more organised events like that and / or club stands at events within the Centre Region? Or do you have event ideas / suggestions?
Over to you guys for feedback as the F Register Dorset & Somerset Region is within the MGCC SouthWest Centre's Area
Many thanks in advance

Re: MGCC SouthWest Centre events feedback please
I think runs and static shows are the favoured type of events. I'm sure there's a fear of damaging your precious car when it comes to competitive events.

Re: MGCC SouthWest Centre events feedback please
I personally like the road runs like we have during winter months, it would be nice to have something similar for the summer. Or perhaps a treasure hunt road run. Static shows/events are also high on the list.
Keep calm and drive an MG

I very much enjoy the Motorsport the region offer and he made the trip from near Bournemouth room Bristol twice to compete, the problem being whilst I'm under the South West area nothing much happens closer as the reps all live quiet a way from me.

The Somerset and Dorset region of the F register are doing a run from Yeovil on Sunday 3rd April through Dorset, finishing at The True Lovers Knot for lunch.mgfsoldier wrote:I very much enjoy the Motorsport the region offer and he made the trip from near Bournemouth room Bristol twice to compete, the problem being whilst I'm under the South West area nothing much happens closer as the reps all live quiet a way from me.
Perhaps you can join us on the run or get a group together from Dorset and meet us at the pub for lunch.

I will put it to the group, I may even join you at Yeovil as I'm in Somerset for the Somerset Stages Rally that weekend.
